Mary Jo was the epitome of kindness, flexibility (pun intended), and professionalism. I was In town for a rather boozy birthday celebration, which was too much for my clean-eating, non-drinker body to take. I found Mary Jo's credentials online and she was kind enough to come in early and work on me with a mere 30 minutes notice.
The massage was heaven, this woman knows what she is doing. I actually had to cut the appointment short due to a prior engagement, but she was patient with my frantic energy...she really calmed me down. I with that I could have returned to her for cupping services, but my short trip to Boulder did not allow it. (She even served me some sort of yummy ginger concoction in a wine glass- my kind heaven!)
I will absolutely be looking to see her when I return to Boulder in the future.

Mary Jo is a fantastic therapist. I’ve had massages all over the world and her technique is top notch. Her unique style of using the feet allows her to really apply pressure where needed. She is also compassionate and a great listener - she is eager to help you get the healing you need from her work.
If you need a professional therapist that is really going to get into those tough spots and not watch the clock Mary Jo is so worth it. MJ is thorough and her massages are deep and focused with a good amount of oil. She uses heat lamps to warm your skin and you lay on the floor while she massages with her feet. Really a fantastic experience - I’ll be seeing MJ on a regular basis going forward.

Pre-op bodywork for a pending hip replacement surgery. I have very limited mobility with extensive body work experience, but not in water. Both pools were perfect for water shiatsu (Watsu). No stairs to navigate in either building. I was made aware of all the facilities and protocols for each location. Water temperature good. Very impressive. Felt carefully supported at all times. Nose did dip below water a couple of times but only for a moment.
Fluidity of movement was the most impressive aspect of the sessions. We were in almost constant movement, that always felt confident and connected. She started with gentle circular patterns, followed by lateral flexion, and then larger, rotational and twisting movements. These were interspersed throughout the session. This allowed me to become aware to the improvements in mobility through the treatment, Mary Jo was focused through the entire sessions. High skill level. Afterward I was given time to relax on the pool steps. Both sessions exceeded my expectations.
I was given plenty of time and support to transition out of free-floating feeling in the pool first, sitting on the steps for a few minutes, and then climbing out. There wasn't any pain from the joint during the session. Felt wonderful.
